Here at niji, we understand exactly how difficult it is to create a piece of human-made art with your own hands. The journey is long and cold, and the waypoints of satisfaction are few and far between.
The only known cure for the loneliness of making art is to immerse yourself in the company of like-minded individuals. Oh, to be warmed by the fire of a thousand fervent souls all attempting to make pretty anime girls in the same discord channel. (niji users, you know this feeling, right?)
I jest. But it really is infinitely more fun to practice drawing together, so come out of your summer stupor and draw with us at Niji · Academy! If you are lucky, you might pick up a fast hour or two during lecture.

Blk Cat’s 100-Drawing Challenge
blk cat is challenging you to show him 100 drawings.
If you make it through 100 drawings with your own face by the end of the program (October 31st), blk cat will think that you are so cool that he will personally send you a lovely enamel pin of his face.
Blk cat will open a special discord channel to collect drawings once he finds a jar big enough to fit them in.
We will meet every week to hold an academy lecture. Academy lecture contents:
An interesting topic in art, tech, or history (~60min)
Instructions on how to do a unique drawing exercise for this week, using niji (~30 min)
Free time with the instructors to ask questions. (~90min)
Niji · Academy is a flexible experience designed to suit your needs. You can participate in blk cat’s challenge even if you don’t come to lecture. We will post a brief summary of how to do the exercise after every class. Likewise, you can hang out in lecture without participating in blk cat’s challenge.
The topic of the first lecture is “The Fundamentals of Measurement and Abstraction: The Theory of (How to Draw) Everything.”
Niji · Academy will officially start on July 14th. We hope to see you there!
